Band program

The Murray Farm Public School Band Program consists of three bands, Training band, Concert Band and Performance band with over 170 students from Years 3-6 under the direction of specialist teachers from Teaching Services Australia (TSA). Training Band is made up entirely of students in their first year of playing a musical instrument. Concert Band is made up of students from Years 4 to 6. Some students have only been playing their instrument for a year and half. Performance Band is our most experienced band at Murray Farm Public School. Those students have gone through a strict audition process to be in this band.
Primary Proms, Opera House Choir
Choir Program

The Primary Proms Choir consists of 30 students from Years 3 and 4. They will be performing at the Primary Proms Kakadu concert at the Sydney Town Hall later in Term 3. The Opera House Choir consists of 30 students from Years 5 and 6. They who will be performing at the Festival of Choral Music, Endeavour concert at the Sydney Opera House in Term 3.
Minuet, Andante, Dolce, Vivace

This year we have 4 ensemble groups, Minuet, Andante, Dolce and Vivace. We have a total of 51 students from Kindergarten to Year 6, ranging in skill level from beginner, with 6- 12 months learning experience, to advanced, with some senior members already having completed Grade 8 exams.

Dance Program

The Dance Program at Murray Farm Public School consists of 2 dance groups, Junior Dance Group, Years 1 to 3, and Senior Dance Group, Years 4 to 6. . The students have gone through the strict audition process, shown great dedication and are passionate about dancing.
